SUCKER PUNCH

Genre: Action Adventure Fantasy Thriller
Direction: Zack Snyder
Lead: Emily Browning

It does have a brain-teasing ending that saved the movie from being dumped into the trash. Emily Browning has looked awesome.

The movie has one of the best sound effects and it incorporates rocking versions of some of my favorite songs, right from the start. It's catchy and the story is good as a whole. The start of the movie till they bring her to the institution is super-fast and I had very high expectations from it then. The music, the pace, the plot, everything was top class... But then, that was it.

After that, once the movie starts its theme, it turns all low. For a while, into the institution, I started to feel like it's a cheesy lesbian porn clip. And then as the story moves along, it is filled with way too much and too many animated action sequences, so much that it feels like you're watching a video game, that too being played by someone else. The music me go through the scenes, but after a while when I figured out that the whole movie is going to be about she going into trance and entering the fantasy world where she is going to keep having such fighting sequences, I started skipping the scenes. The girl is supposed to find an alternate reality as a coping strategy against all the bizarre environment of the mental facility. But it's been stretch too long. The ending was mind-blowing though.

So if you really want to blow your mind, let the movie build the ending up. Watch it atleast till interval and after that, start using the seek-bar, but only little by little.
