It's the perfect romance comedy!
First of all, this is not meant to be a biography of Shakespeare. This does not portray Shakespeare's real life, it is merely a fiction that relates to him and his plays in a comical way and still makes the whole plot fit. Do not watch this as a piece from history, it is purely a romantic comedy and that's it. The story is made up about how Shakespeare wrote his play 'Romeo and Juliet' whilst experiencing the same story in his actual life. The movie is superb and Fiennes has done an outstanding job.
The writing is stupendous! Of course, it has to be, being a movie involving play-writers. But it was better than I had expected, the writing, direction as well as the plot. Do not consider this as just another Chick Flick. It will touch your hearts. Don't wait, just go for it!
