THE AVENGERS

Genre: Action Sci-Fi
Direction: Joss Whedon
Lead: Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson

A totally action-packed blockbuster! You've got to watch this in 3D on the big screens!

An all-star cast with fast-pacing direction deserves some credits. The movie is filled with world class action and amazing special effects that truly keep your grip tight. There are some instances that really make you go, "wow!" with a drop of jaw. Nothing much to say about the movie but except that it's a must-watch-on-the-big-screen type.

To answer the oh-so-much-hype about this movie, well, no, it didn't make it upto its hype because it lagged in the plot. There was simply not enough story to build up so many lead characters at the same time. The binding seemed very loose. Watch this movie, it's a blast, but not with a mindset that you're going to see some intelligent storyline. The plot is not at all powerful and it lagged many elements that one needs to see in a Superhero movie. It also lagged the dramatic touch for the characters like they succeeded to give in X-Men: First Class.

It's a great movie experience though, and everyone, I repeat, everyone, will enjoy experiencing it! It's just not that witty as far as the story is concerned, though it felt otherwise a few times. Amazing job by the team though, especially Scarlett, who seemed to be the best at her role though this was a bit of a twister for her.

HATE STORY

Genre: Thriller
Director: Vivek Agnihotri
Lead: Paoli Dam

Really, really, really bad acting by every single character, poor writing and below-average plot and direction. The only thing great about the movie is its cinematography, which was quite unique for Bollywood. But everything rest, crap!

The movie has nothing but sex in it. No gripping story-line, very irritating script-work and intolerable acting skills. They made this one just to show that Bollywood can portray nudity too, and in the process, they lost everything else. It's obvious that they couldn't find good actors as no one would do a plotless only-sex movie, so they had to work with rookie models. Hence the terrible acting. It's not even that the lead actress is that beautiful. The least they could have done was pick up a pretty girl, but it was totally disappointing.

The story could have been good enough to watch if it had been modified a bit. But this was just one for the perverts.

21 JUMP STREET

Genre: Action Comedy
Direction: Phil Lord, Chris Miller
Lead: Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum

First of all, that television series from around three decades ago was not something that could be counted as so interesting that it would be remade now in the form of a feature film. So the build-up to this movie was almost lost, but the movie came out with quite a different spin. The movie, instead of concentrating on the crime and mystery elements like the series did, comes out as a mere teen comedy flick. A comedy that's entertaining and enjoyable.

The directors have already played their parts in comedy by writing and producing around the popular sitcom How I Met Your Mother. And by now, they know how to get their audience to burst into laughs, and they implemented it in a cool way. The movie does not have any promising elements about crime or action for that matter. It's not intelligent, it's not deep, it just delivers some fun time with some gags. Not a great one, but a one-time laughter ride with two interesting surprise guest appearances near the end. It's a good comedy flick, that's nothing less expected from a Jonah Hill movie; Channing has done an alright job himself.

HOUSEFULL 2

Genre: Comedy
Direction: Sajid Khan
Leads: Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Shreyas Talpade, Ritesh Deshmukh

Such movies are the reasons that Bollywood has a bad name. It's a total disappointment with the complete package of bad acting, bad writing, bad direction and bad sense of humor, and there is no plot to be labelled as bad. It's total bullshit; an insult to the genre of comedy and it came as no surprise, given the director and writers of this piece of crap are well-known for such shitty humor. They sold it as an all-start cast but the entire cast is filled with over-acting idiots. I seriously advise the industry to just throw these retards along with the creators of this pile of trash, if it ever wants to even try to reach the standards of the international cinema.

In comedy movies which have the plot leading nowhere, people atleast want the comedy to be entertaining to make the overall experience worthwhile. But the entire movie is too stupid to be even watched in fast-forward.

A total waste of time and one of the worst comedy piece ever made with a pack of the worst comedians alive! Sajid Khan, you are the worst director/comedian in the world, and if you just get your ass out, Bollywood just might try to survive!
