HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART 1

Genre: Adventure Drama Fantasy Mystery Thriller
Direction: David Yates
Leads: Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint

This movie will render you speechless. It just truly touches the heart. When I saw the first part, I could never have imagined the maturity in acting the trio will perform with, especially DanRad. He really deserves the hats off. The story has not much of a plot but the direction is such that the movie never leaves the grip. Though this movie might be dissatisfying for people who have been watching the series as a mean to entertain themselves and just to see new special effects. But this movie will come to as a great movie who know what to see in a movie. Even the non-Harry-Potter-fans will enjoy this movie.

David Yates has just blown me away with the level of direction he implemented in the series. This movie's direction leaves that of many, many movies far, far behind. This movie will actually make you feel what the people are going through. Every little turn will feel like a twist, all credits to the excellent direction and the highly improved acting skills.

The only down-side is that they have kept all the action for the final part of the series. So this part was a bit low on the content. And the ending has been deliberately made dark so as to make people think that evil had won or atleast has gotten too close to winning and that the good has lost the triumph. So it's an usual movie to say the least, which leaves the audience in a low mood, and not amazed. So, even though it is just a tact used by the director to combine the two parts, as far as rating this individual part is concerned, I would reduce half a star for the negative points. Otherwise, the movie is definitely worth 4 stars.

THE SOCIAL NETWORK

Genre: Biography Drama
Direction: David Fincher
Lead: Jesse Eisenberg

Hardly I would call this a drama movie as generally drama is supposed to be a slow character mapping of some person. This movie is super-fast paced and the direction is absolutely terrific! (You can hardly expect a movie less than master-piece from David Fincher.) The three lawsuits continue parallel at the beginning and then the main two flow throughout the movie along with the actual storyline. You have to concentrate real hard to keep up. The dialogue delivery of everyone, especially Jesse, is just awesome and the dramatic scenes really make you gasp.

Don't watch this as a drama movie. It's merely a biography and one of the top class ones. The regular Facebook users (or addicts) will just love this movie! Must-watch for net cretins.
