THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT

Genre: Comedy Drama Romance
Direction: Lisa Cholodenko
Leads: Annette Bening, Julianne Moore, Mark Ruffalo, Josh Hutcherson, Mia Wasikowska

The direction is just perfect! The acting is more than perfect!

I've always hated Julianne Moore because I feel like puking every time I see her coz of the billions of freckles she has. And that old woman with such ugly skin has been shown naked and involved in a few sex scenes. Apart from those few horrid moments, the movie is beautiful. I don't have any complaints about the cast though, as Annette, Julianne as well as Mark have performed outstandingly.

The movie is very, very, very good. It moved me many times and the dramatic sequences just stick to you. It has very good writing and brilliant picturization. The film shows a bunch of family ties with deep feelings and a very keen depiction of people's sexuality. It's quite profound. It's worth a watch.

SALT

Genre: Action Crime Mystery Thriller
Direction: Phillip Noyce
Lead: Angelina Jolie

It never lets go of the grip!

The story keeps flipping towards extreme ends throughout the movie and it leaves the viewer amazed. The mystery direction is awesome, the plot is superb. Angelina Jolie, on the other hand, seems a bit unnatural for the role. The character would've been more believable if played by a male. They made the story for Tom Cruise but he refused it. But maybe some other action hero would've been a better choice. Or maybe they purposely chose a female to earn some extra points for the action sequences.

The theme and storyline is simply fabulous but the action sequences, the way she escapes every single time from the hands of everybody, is too South-Indian-ish. It does not seem real and it happens so many times that it ruins the whole build-up of the plot. So least I can do for favoring the direction and plot is reduce only half a star from the actual ratings they would've got if the sequences had been more realistic.

INCEPTION

Genre: Sci-Fi Action
Direction: Christopher Nolan
Lead: Leonardo DiCaprio

Just when you thought Christopher Nolan had done his best in The Dark Knight, he pops up again with this masterpiece. This movie rendered me speechless. A concept that had never been explored ever before -Dreams. This movie has got everything in it -action, adventure, drama, romance. And the special effects are really commendable. It's the whole package and no movie, I dare say, has reached the levels that this one did. It will simply blow you away. You can never over-hype this one.

Nolan introduces the concept of dreams versus reality. Perhaps, he introduces dreams as an alternate reality. This movie is one of those that makes your heart skip a beat after every few minutes. The main theme of the movie is based on staying conscious in your dreams. And that is what you need to be while watching it, totally conscious. This is one of the movies which can only be understood with 100% concentration. And it deserves it! So, specially take the time out of your life and be prepared to be swept off the floor.

What leaves the imprint is the ending, which is an open interpretation for the viewers. This movie has various storylines and all of them have satisfying plots without any holes. So even if you watch it more than once, it never gets boring. Undoubtedly, this is the best movie ever released till date!!
