WANTED (BOLLYWOOD)

Genre: Action Comedy
Direction: Prabhu Deva
Lead: Salman Khan

One word -Bakwaas!

This movie has been over-hyped by stupid people that have no sense of movies. The entire movie just goes on and on without any point with juvenile comedy scenes. There are no realistic scene throughout the movie and people with childish sense of humor are the only ones who would like it.

The last few minutes of the movie are the only ones that seem to make a storyline, which is not that good anyways. So it doesn't matter. I would have given it atleast an average rating if it were directed well. But the direction was worse than the acting.

I would strongly recommend you to NOT go for it.

AFTER.LIFE

Genre: Drama Fantasy Mystery Thriller
Direction: Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo
Leads: Liam Neeson, Christina Ricci, Justin Long

The movie has been popularized as a horror flick. But it is not much of a horror per say, as it doesn't involve any adrenaline-rushing thrills. It's more of a fantasy thriller. And that is the reason I have put a different genre in my post. The direction is awesome, the acting is great. So no deduction in ratings in that.

Moving on, the concept is simply stunning. It deals with the period between 'not living' and 'dying' -The Afterlife. Though the idea is not entirely new, the concept has never been depicted so beautifully. The writing is just amazing, atleast Liam Neeson's words, which connect our lives with the concept of afterlife. They have very deep meanings; the movie has a lot to teach.

Now, the downside is that, even though the direction is simply brilliant, the movie feels a bit stretch from around 15 minutes into it, to some time before the interval. I admit that its just to dramatically map the feelings of the person in the afterlife phase, but it just leads to a lot of confusion regarding the transition of the soul, leaving some plot-holes in the system. Though it was needed to be shown, this does cut some points. It is light-hearted but does contain some good thrills. Until the end, the story keeps shifting between two pathways and it keeps your brain awake. The story is awesome. Definitely, you have got to watch it. The movie is under-rated on official sites. It deserves more than average.

HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE

Genre: Adventure Fantasy Mystery Thriller
Direction: David Yates
Leads: Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint

And the direction has improved yet again! The acting is amazing and I cannot rate it any less than what the series has been reaching till now. The story has taken its final leap in revealing the darkest secrets about Voldemort and now leaves Harry to find his way to defeat him. The ending has the biggest twist of the series till now and it will blow your mind.

The story however was short. The movie felt like a huge stretch from some time into the start all the way till some time before the climax. The scenes were repetitive leading nowhere until a long time, especially about what Draco's upto throughout the movie. Also, the story seemed to have rotated around Harry, rather than the trio this time. Ron's part was just childish throughout and Hermione's role seemed to have been undermined. So, I won't rate it more than the previous thought the plot used in this one might have deserved more.

STILL WAITING...

Genre: Comedy
Direction: Jeff Balis
Leads: Adam Corolla, John Michael Higgins, Rob Benedict, Steve Howey, Alanna Ubach and more...

Not as saucy as its prequel "Waiting..."

It has absolutely no storyline and no theme. It just tried to continue what the first part did, but there is nothing in the movie except more raunchy jokes. It's funny alright, but that's all it is. Only teens will enjoy this. Watch it only for gags and nothing else.
