BHAGAM BHAG

Genre: Comedy Mystery Romance
Direction: Priyadarshan
Leads: Akshay Kumar, Govinda, Paresh Rawal

Some punches were really funny but most of the movie was pure foolish comedy. The direction is very bad, the storyline is non-sense and everyone has done their best in over-acting. The ending is one of the stupidest climaxes in Bollywood. Except a few giggles with long intervals, there is nothing in the movie.

Just a time-pass movie and a bit entertaining if you don't use your brains.

THE ILLUSIONIST

Genre: Drama Mystery Romance Thriller
Direction: Neil Burger
Lead: Edward Norton

One of the best mystery movie ever mapped! This one will blow your mind off. It's got great acting, great direction, great cinematography; it's gripping right from the first scene of the movie to the end. The illusions and special effects are really amazing and it keeps your brain constantly working to figure things out.

It is just marvelous with no flaws, which is rare in movies with such storyline and such level of maintaining suspense. This movie is truly 'magical' and I strongly recommend this movie to everyone out there!

LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE

Genre: Adventure Comedy Drama
Direction: Jonathan Dayton, Valerie Faris
Leads: Abigail Breslin, Greg Kinnear, Steve Carrel and more...

Greg Kinnear is already a great actor and I'm glad to see Steve Carell performing quality humor for a change. The movie is full of smiles and occasional laughter which makes it a beautiful light comic. The movie is very entertaining and simply a delight to watch. Rarely, adventure road-trip comedies showcase good humor; it's always wild teen movies. But this movie is not that type of comedy, it's purely natural and fun for all ages.

The start was not that above average which made me think that maybe it's just another chill-out movie. But as it advanced, I was taken in. There are plenty of messages conveyed through the screenplay writing and the directors really succeeded in making the film playful. It's genuine enjoyment. Definitely go for it!

(And after watching the movie, do watch the alternate endings on the internet too. The movie has four alternate endings.)

ACCEPTED

Genre: Comedy Drama
Direction: Steve Pink
Lead: Justin Long

This movie is a must-watch for all the teenagers who are fed up of the foolish education system that's being pumped into the veins ever since childhood. It is for every guy who was forced to grow up into the senseless tradition, without any regards for his goals. This movie is dedicated to all the creatively intelligent non-nerds out there!

Justin Long has done the best job he could have ever done! The perfect mixture of sarcasm, fun, innovation, cleverness, leadership and he is totally revolutionary! The movie has its moments when it makes the audience laugh their asses off, special thanks to Jonah Hill. But the movie is not just another teen comedy, its actually has a real dramatic touch that will truly make you connect yourself with it. Especially, the ending speech of Justin Long makes hearts literally skip beats. It is the exact depiction of the hearts of every teenager studying in college, and it has millions of values to teach. Don't just watch it just as a comedy entertainment; it's way deeper than that. At some times, the movie does make its way into the typical teen comedy but it keeps popping out into the philosophical drama. This movie is truly entertaining and delivers very important lessons to live life. And if some of that immaturity in the movie were replaced by a better direction and writing, I would have given it 4 stars right away.

Must-watch for every one out there, especially but not limited to, the teenagers!

STEP UP

Genre: Drama Music Romance
Direction: Anne Fletcher
Leads: Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan-Tatum

The movie is a wonderful delight full of romantic fill-ins. The songs are great, the choreography of the dance sequences are great. The acting can't be expected to be much but it's good enough to not obstruct the chemistry flow between the lead characters.

It's a good watch, especially for dancers and dance fans.

CHILDREN OF MEN

Genre: Action Adventure Drama Sci-Fi
Direction: Alfonso Cuarรณn
Lead: Clive Owen

This movie is a beautiful revelation. It is based on a theory that the future is close to annihilation. Another movie based on a similar theory like The Apocalypse, but different. It is about a chaotic world in which humans can no longer procreate. The youngest person alive at the start of the storyline is around 16 years old. And in such time when all hope is lost, they find a pregnant woman. It's a miracle but they have to safely transport her to a sanctuary at sea where there are scientists at work still working on finding a way to save the human race from turning extinct.

It's well-directed and Clive Owen finally found the role of being a hero. This is without a doubt, Owen's best performance till now. And Michael Cane has done it again by nailing his role, very unique this time.

A nice movie to watch but it requires patience. I wouldn't go so far as to recommend it to everyone here, but I would certainly tell my close friends who I know will like it. It is a fantastic piece, and one of the best of the 2006.
