8 MILE

Genre: Drama Music
Direction: Curtis Hanson
Lead: Eminem

After L.A. Confidential, Curtis brings us another hit. This is a story about a white kid who is living all the experiences that are being laughed at in the neighborhood, and all he wants is to break out of it all. And all he has to help is his passion of music: rap music. But people who are not much into rap, will also like it.

The direction is fine, the cinematography is great, and the rap-writings were truly awesome! While other people will like this movie, rap fans will simply love it. Through this movie, Eminem proves that a person is capable of doing whatever he sets his mind to. And that's even the moral of it.

It's not the best music movie, but definitely one that will make you feel the world of Detroit and leave you with a mark of inspiration. And that is more than expected from a low-budget film.
