Genre: Drama Thriller
Direction: Francis Ford Coppola
Leads: Marlon Brando, Al Pacino
The movie is very, very powerful in conveying its feelings. It's about the father who owns the world of organized crime dynasty and how his family rules the mafia empire, except his one son who he has better expectations from. Don Vito Corleone always kept his son Michael away from the crime world so that Michael won't suffer through the regrets that he faces, so that Michael would complete his education and one day become a good business. But circumstances don't let all that slide simply. Michael gradually gets involved in the family business and the morals he had been taught since childhood about the importance of family, lead him to enter the bloodshed going on. This movie is about the transitional phase of the young, decent kid into the immoral, ruthlessly violent individual who looses his control over his good side slowly and steadily. The movie is full of values about friendship, love and most importantly family, living for which there are no bounds.
The movie portrays each character very deeply and makes the audience wonder at every change of slide. The movie might have a slow pace, but the turns it takes, not much of the plot but of the character, will just keep thrilling you. It's one of the best directions ever and Al Pacino has played one of the best on-screen acts ever. It is a legendary classic and no movie will ever beat it!
A must-see, not with friends but alone and with a grip on patience. This movie will simply amaze you!
